About ABMP
Founded in 1987, Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals, also known by its acronym, ABMP, has been offering massage therapy memberships to massage therapists, massage students and massage schools. ABMP has one of the largest massage therapy membership organizations boasted by liability and business property insurance that meets the specific needs of massage therapists and bodyworkers. ABMP’s credo is “expect more”. They pride themselves in responsive and knowledgeable service from dedicated staff members who meet your customer service needs and expand the value of your membership.
Massage Liability Insurance
The main benefit of a membership with ABMP is the massage liability insurance that they provide. In addition to providing professional and general liability insurance for massage therapists, they also include product coverage. ABMP includes member benefits alongside their insurance; specifically, free continuing education, member discounts to massage supplies and other products, marketing resources, and a listing in their directory. They also provide a subscription to Massage & Bodywork magazine, a bi-monthly publication. To become a member of ABMP, you can choose either the Practitioner level or Certified level. With the Practitioner level, you must have completed at least 100 hours of training to qualify and with the Certified level, you must have completed at least 500 hours of training to qualify. The certified level is the highest level of membership that they offer.
How ABMP Insurance Compares to NACAMS
ABMP offers their insurance and membership applications online and offers similar coverage as other insurance providers in the massage liability insurance space.
